5ICM is an umbrella organisation of combined-church ministries that serve the Illawarra. Follow the links on the left to find out more about the member ministries: Illawarra Prayer Network, Wollongong Gospel Choir, Grace Community, and Revival Ministries. 5ICM member ministries accept the teaching of the Apostle’s Creed in their Statement of Faith and see Christ’s indwelling Holy Spirit as the basis of Christian unity. 5ICM supports the churches work towards greater visible church unity as expressed in their covenant (see download link to the right). Christians believe that God loves people unconditionally. He wants to save them and minister to their needs. Becoming a Christian is as simple as responding in faith to Jesus’ invitation to be his friend. Although there are differences in the teaching and practice of the various churches and denominations, the Bible says we should be “making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph 4:3). Christians believe that Christ's Spirit dwells within each of them and that he desires to reach out to everyone with the love of God. 5ICM seeks to assist combined-church ministries so that they will be more effective in serving others. Member ministries benefit from joint incorporation, charity status, insurances, website, contacts database, etc. All Illawarra ministries and churches benefit from the prayer and support of a region-wide Christian network. Illawarra Christians The “Illawarra Christians” social networking website operates in conjunction with this website to provide you with a Christian meeting place on the internet. The link on the left is found on each page of this website. There is also an Illawarra Christians Facebook group. At Illawarra Christians, you can start your own group, upload files to share with others, meet in the Chat Room, discuss issues in the Forum, watch videos, and there are other things to explore too.
